Hebrews isn’t an easy book to study, and it’s not an easy book to teach. Studying the book in a group Bible study can be difficult because of it’s length, density, and the kind of argumentation used. But since when do we shirk away from studying something because it’s difficult? If we want to grow in our faith, we have to be willing to take on challenging stuff every now and then, because we grow best when we face challenge.
That being said, the Bible class teacher charged with covering the book of Hebrews might be a little unnerved at the prospect. The difficulties it contains are real, not imagined, and it might be helpful to have some aids to get you started as you develop lesson plans.
The lessons posted here are not intended to replace your own study, but I hope they add fuel to they time you spend preparing to teach this incredible book.
This material was created in the spring of 2009.
