Note:
While this week’s reading covered portions of Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers, our study today focuses only on Numbers 10-14 (pages 168-174 in The Daily Bible).
Key Point:
On the verge of entering Canaan, the Israelites become discouraged at the report of the spies. For their disbelief and rebellion, God decrees that they will wander in the wilderness 40 years.

“The Lord replied, ‘I have forgiven them—but not one of the men who saw my glory and the miraculous signs I performed in Egypt and in the desert but who disobeyed me and tested me 10 times—not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their forefathers’” (Numbers 14:20-23).
