Dear Friends,
It is great to be back home after being gone for almost six months. We've had two Sundays in Rio and were pleased to see the church growing. I counted 7 new people this Sunday. And it is great to see how everyone carried on and took charge of things in our absence.
Our time in the USA was also a blessing. Jonathan finished his first semester at Harding and seems to be adapting quite well. He did well in his classes and has made many friends.
Connie and I treasured spending some extra time with our parents, children and other family members. We also enjoyed visiting the West Coast for the first time and seeing many beautiful sights along the way.
An added blessing was spending about three months with our supporting congregation, the Pleasant Valley church of Christ in Little Rock, Arkansas. New friendships were made and old ties were strengthened as we shared time with our home congregation.
We ask your prayers for the growth of the Lord's kingdom in Rio de Janeiro in 2011. There is much to be done as the fields are ripe unto harvest. May the Lord give us wisdom and courage to join Him in preparing souls for eternity.
Yours in Him,
Larry and Connie
