Hello everyone,
Things are wonderful and busy ... and finally SUNNY ...
here in Olomouc. And it's time to update you on what's going on. BUT, in an
effort to save some precious time, I'm passing along two recent newsletters from
my teammates for your enjoyment. Please take a look and please be praying about
all that's happening here and the people we're connected with. And while I'm
writing you, let me give you some additional news and prayer
requests...
Once again this summer we're going to be putting on two
English Camps for Czech teenagers. They were a huge success and wonderfully
blessed last year. And once again we'd like to request your help. First, please
PRAY -- for the preparations, for campers to sign up, for God's good news
and amazing love to shine through us, for these younger people to have their
hearts open. Second, please consider making a donation to help provide
scholarships to some of our campers with financial difficulties. Last year you
gave generously and helped up to support about a dozen campers! Here is a link - https://www.teamolomouc.com/support_a_camper.php - where you can find
more info on how to donate via our Team Olomouc website and PayPal...
And
please be praying about the following activities and people:
- Vilem -- this 14-year old friend of ours recently
asked me via email about what life is like when you have faith. And then a few
weeks later he finally showed up at our activity center after an absence of
several months. That was last week when he came to our three-day seminar on the
5 Love Languages. Then, last Friday he came to our new group about the basics of
the Bible and faith. Unfortunately he came an hour and a half late! He is going
through a lot these days -- his parents are getting divorced -- and it's clear
he's looking for something to hold onto. Please pray for him and for God to
speak to him through us.
- Radek -- this 33-year old seeker has been coming
to our worship services on a regular basis for the last several months but still
says he needs time to consider God and Jesus and whether he believes. Please
pray for his searching and sincere heart. He is a wonderful friend to all of us.
- Praise
God for last week's wonderfully successfully seminar for teens and other young
friends about the 5 Love Languages. Roman from the church in Bratislava
came to facilitate the seminar and it was a blessing for all -- each day
including witness to God's good news through the story of the prodigal son,
which beautifully demonstrates how God the Father loves with all of the love
languages.
