Date of birth: December 20, 1963
Wife: Susan
Children: Charlie, Nathan
Position: Pulpit Minister
Year I came to Pleasant Valley: 2001
My real passion: Living for the Lord and proclaiming his Word.
My fondest experience at PV: The sense of anticipation and excitement that we are ready to start realizing the potential we have to grow and exert a greater influence on Little Rock and the world.
My personal dreams and goals for PV: To grow every member in the grace and knowledge of our Lord; to expand the number of Christians involved in ministry; to outgrow our facilities; to remain true to God’s Word; to become more involved in the lifestyle of outreach and evangelism. Pleasant Valley is the kind of place where you can belong and utilize your talents for God’s glory.
Myself in a few words: I am a lot of different things; among them I would number … passionate, concerned, helpful, bookish, curious, annoying, impatient, courageous, versatile, simple, involved, excitable, open-minded, loyal.
I am a bit of a hybrid in that I was born to Southern parents but grew up in Michigan. I have been exposed to two distinct cultures and move easily between them.
I enjoy all sports, especially anything to do with the University of Michigan. Michigan football is probably the coolest thing in the world.
I love music, or at least good music (particularly the Beatles and Oasis).
My favorite foods are steak, the whole Thanksgiving Day spread, Chicago deep-dish pizza, burgers on the grill, Coney Islands (from Flint, Mich.), homemade ice cream, banana pudding, German chocolate cake – okay, almost every dessert.
I am a big yard man, and a devotee of having a very clean car.
I will play golf if asked.
