We are happy say that the Jacarepaguá congregation in Rio de Janeiro continues to grow!

People are calling in almost every day to sign up for our free Bible courses, taught at our new Outreach Center by 3 brothers fully supported by the church here in Rio.

It is not unusual for those who call to say: “I need help understanding the Bible.”

Since June of 2010 the church has been meeting for Sunday worship in part of the new construction. Visitors are present at every assembly.

Many, like Graças, Ellen and Marcos shown in the photo have given their lives to Jesus

As Thanksgiving Day grows closer, I am reminded that none of this would be possible without your support and that our efforts would be useless without your prayers. We give thanks to God for your past donations and your partnership is spreading the good news of Jesus.

The first two phases of the construction of our new building are practically finished. We have been using the new Outreach Center since July of 2009. The Lord continues to send us people with open hearts who desire to know and follow His word. His word is powerful and it works in fertile soil to transform individual lives and entire families! The worship area that we have now is too small and doesn't allow room for growth. That is why we need your help as we go forward with our building project and construct our permanent worship center which will seat over 300 people and give us space to continue growing and reaching out to more people who don't yet know the Lord. We estimate that we will need an additional $200,000 for this phase of the project ($50,000 is already in hand).

Brazilians continue to be open to the gospel and more eager than ever to dig deep into God's word. Almost everyone who signs up for our Bible course is surprised that it is offered free of charge. And how rewarding it is when they tell us after just a few classes that they are now able to understand God's word as never before and how much they appreciate having someone to help them find answers to their questions.

Connie and I want to thank you for all that you have already done to help the congregation in Jacarepaguá. And now we request that you continue joining hands with us in this effort with an additional gift. Any amount that you can send our way will be greatly appreciated. And we assure you once again that we will do our very best to be good stewards of these funds and use them to honor our Father and to serve His children in Rio de Janeiro.
