The collection of prophecies we call Isaiah can be difficult to study for a number of reasons.  And yet, it contains some of the most passionate poetry in the Hebrew Bible and teaches much about the God we serve and his plans for the world.  Here are a collection of Bible lessons designed for adult Bible class teachers, to help you lead your community of faith to be able to hear the Word of God in this remarkable book.

A 13-week series, this study was written by three of PV's ministry staff - preaching minister Chuck Monan, pastoral care minister Nick Hamilton, and involvement minister Jeff Spry - to examine the lives and careers of the two leaders called to rebuild God's temple and Jerusalem's wall. Principles of leadership, prayer, unity, purpose and gratitude are explored.

All through the Psalms, God shows Himself to us and invites us to come close to Him.  This sampling of the Psalms is offered to give you a taste of God – a taste that will make you hunger for more.   In these Psalms you will see who God is, and the very sight of Him will send you running for a closer look.

As an 18-week comprehensive study, this series provides daily readings and preparation for the Sunday discussions to follow, and is organized by authorship/theme of each book in the New Testament.

This Old Testament study examines large blocks of scripture in a thematic context with the thesis that the former covenant points unwaveringly to a new one to be established by God's chosen one.

Scripture is pictured as God's Holy Fire in this 12-week study written by PV members and Biblical scholars in the region. The study explores exegesis, hermeneutics, and scripture as inspired, as truth, as story, and as life-changing.

The opening eight weeks of this study are devoted to the counsel of James; the final nine to the first epistle of Peter. A number of members of PV contributed.

The study of these two apocalyptic - and Messianic - prophets of the Old Testament is organized over 16 weeks; Ezekiel first, followed by Daniel. A study of eschatology - of "last things" - follows this material, including illuminating passages from the gospels and epistles.

If our culture is to be transformed, it will happen when every believer regularly shares his faith over the backyard fence, or during a meal, with a colleague, or in a check-out line. The apostle Paul's first (or possibly second) letter to his beloved siblings in Christ at Corinth is explored in depth.

Travel with us this quarter as we live, breathe, and share in the feelings and experiences of the Minor Prophets. It may have been a while since you’ve shaken hands with the prophets of old.
