Hurricane Hanna has dealt our friends in Gonaives, Haiti, a blow which may be comparable to the 2004 floods. Our friend Pacius called David Smith from his rooftop this morning in fear. The entire city was under water and it was still raining. Roads are impassable, and rescue may be days away.

Pray that the Christians will sense the presence of the Lord with them. Pray that lives will be spared, and the misery of the recent past averted. Pray that the Lord will work good out of this tragedy in ways only He knows.
