AMERICA NEEDS TO HEAR A NEW SONG. In Colossians 5, Paul reminds Christian people that we were called to peace and that as Christ’s message dwells in us, we are to teach each other through the songs from the Spirit. Christ has not called us to political civil war, killing one another in competition over our brand of politics and turning neighbor against neighbor. He has not called us to participate in the anxious promotion of fear. We are called to peace and to promote a chorus inclusive enough to include and be led by all types of voices.
